why horses ?

Hello , I have a few burning questions I would like to find the answers to. And hopefully in the future, I will b able to. That is where this blog come into play. My first question is... Why horses? out of all the animals , that was at our reach ...why did our ancestors choose the horse? Was it because it was timid? Was it because it was quick to get away from predators? Was it because it would follow them for a food resource? Was it by accident when they tried to caputer/ kill one , and somehow landed on its back and had their "first ride" ? What was it? What lured them into the world as we now know as EQUUS ? I hope not to bore you with my search and findings of the Horses Of Time. But for all of us to learn and possibly expand our knowledge of them . I know this will b a dauting task . These are questions , that I somehow have a need to know .
